      <description><![CDATA[<div><div><p>Gerrits Engineering Limited is seeking a <span><b>Mechanical Engineer</b></span> responsible for planning, design, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects. The successful candidate will contribute across all project phases, provide technical leadership, and support high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery while ensuring client satisfaction.</p><p><span><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></p><ul><li>Plan, design, and deliver mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, Energy Modelling</li><li>Prepare engineering drawings, BIM/Revit models, specifications, reports, and cost estimates</li><li>Perform engineering calculations, system studies, building condition reports and equipment selection</li><li>Manage projects or act as technical lead, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget</li><li>Participate in all project phases from concept and design to tender and construction administration</li><li>Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals for compliance</li><li>Conduct site visits, inspections, and construction meetings</li><li>Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams</li><li>Prepare proposals, technical reports, and project documentation</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards</li><li>Support and mentor junior staff</li></ul><p><span><b>Qualifications</b></span></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligibility</li><li>5–8 years of experience in multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm</li><li>Experience working on commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, HVAC Solutions or equivalent</li><li>Strong knowledge of building codes and standards</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills</li></ul><p><span><b>Core Competencies</b></span></p><ul><li>Project management and organizational skills</li><li>Attention to detail and quality control</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively</li><li>Strong client-focused mindset</li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development</li></ul></div></div><div><p><br></p></div>]]></description>
